My name is David Eaker and I am an almost lifelong citizen of Rutherford County, North Carolina. I grew up in Forest City NC, graduated from East Rutherford High School in 1976 and then got a business degree at UNC-Chapel Hill in 1980. I moved back to Rutherford County and spent 23 years in textile management with Cone Mills Corporation. Unfortunately, the textile business has greatly declined in our area, so I got my real estate broker license in 2005 and became a full-time realtor. Other opportunities outside Rutherford County did not interest me which is why I chose to go into real estate. I enjoy working with both seller and buyers to help each meet their needs. I am a "low pressure" full-time realtor and am happy to assist in any types of property searches or listings. I have some commercial properties and land, but mostly residential properties. I have been married to Ronda Dennis Eaker for 30 years and we are blessed with three sons who are now grown men. I am involved in the community in several ways. I am a city councilmen for the Town of Forest City. I also serve on the Board of Trustees for both Rutherford Hospital and Isothermal Community College. I also serve on the United Way Board and have previously been Campaign chair and President. My favorite hobby is golf and I enjoy playing in both local and state amateur events. Rutherford County's slogan is "small town friendly". I think you will find me a "small town friendly" and helpful Realtor.
