The 2015 Officers and Directors of the Rutherford County Board of Realtors were installed at our first Board Luncheon of the new year on Tuesday, January 6th at Big Dave’s Family Seafood.  Clark Poole, Director of the Chamber of Commerce was with us to do the installation.

The Board of Realtors recently held a photo contest encouraging  all members who would like to participate, to send in their best photos of the county to be used on our website.  The winner was awarded a $50 Gift Card.  We received lots of great entries and it was a tough decision but a BIG Congratulations  goes to Bob Mellnik, our winner for his photo entitled “The Lake”.  Charles Burgess was runner up and special recognition is given to Linda Marsh’s son Winston for the beautiful photos he submitted.   Thanks Everyone!  We hope you enjoy the photos!!

During the Board of Realtors November Luncheon held at Big Dave’s Family Seafood, there was a Special Recognition of our Veterans.  They were presented with a Realtor pin with their Branch of Service that they served in.  We are Proud of all these Men and We Thank You for Your Service!  Our Veterans are:  David Brackett- US Air Force Retired Captain (not pictured) Hugh Branch - US Army Military Police, Steve Wright – US Army, Jim Brown – US Army, Odean Keever – US Army National Guard, Ronnie Porter – US Army Reserves, Nelson Eide – US Navy, Wayne Hardin – US Navy and Scott Jackson – US Marines.

  
We were also honored to have US Navy Veteran, Ed Richardson as our Speaker.

The Rutherford County Board of Realtors® Outreach Project for August was “Helping the Cats and Dogs of Rutherford County”.  Here’s Jody Key presenting a check to the Rutherford County Humane Society.  We raised $440 and also collected several bags of Cat Food and Cat Litter.  They were very appreciative of our efforts.

We donated $100 to the Little League boys of Rutherford County to help with their expenses as they traveled to California to play in the World Series.  Here’s Lynn Butler presenting the check to Fifth Third Bank.

The Board of Realtors bought 20 cases of Bottled Water for Habitat for Humanity.  Scott Jackson and Ronnie Blanton helped to load it up and deliver it.

Several of our Realtors delivered water, juice and breakfast to the Rutherford Habitat for Humanity workers who were working on a house on New Hampshire Street in Spindale.
